Trading Courses
Many ponder the value of trading courses, wondering if they can achieve profitability and quit their day jobs after completing such courses. But who truly knows the qualifications of those teaching them?
I've personally invested in three trading courses, spending thousands of dollars overall, yet I haven't implemented any specific strategy from these courses. Here are my unfiltered notes on my experiences:
- There were no performance data provided for the strategies. This lack of transparency made it challenging to assess their potential profitability over past months, years, or in the current market.
- The course material seemed outdated. The creators were no longer trading the methods they were teaching; they had moved on to updated techniques for which they created new courses for another extra money.
- Most members, if not all, were losing money. In one course room, there was a performance table displaying room members – all were in red numbers.
- Backtesting strategies from the courses resulted in negative outcomes, despite the strategies being presented as profitable. This led to losses when I attempted to apply them in the real market.
- The techniques taught in the courses were not secrets at all. All the information and know-how were freely available on the internet, and anyone could create similar strategies without paying for a course.
- No valid track record of the mentor.
- And many more...
In conclusion, while trading courses promise valuable insights, my experience suggests otherwise. It's essential to approach them cautiously and conduct thorough research before investing. Remember, success in trading requires more than just taking a course; it demands knowledge, skill, discipline, and experience, which cannot be guaranteed by any course alone.
